1. About this agreement
These terms govern the Strum ChatGPT plugin and its companion pages, operated by W185 Holdings LLC, a Wyoming company (“Strum,” “we,” “us”). The directory publisher is Vert Ventures LLC. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. The separate Strum mobile app has its own terms.
You must be at least 13 and meet the minimum age and permission requirements for ChatGPT in your location. If you are below the age of legal majority, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to accept these terms for it.
2. What Strum provides
Strum finds existing guitar chord charts and can generate estimated chords and timing from accessible YouTube recordings. It includes chord diagrams, transpose and capo controls, and a silent practice timer. It does not supply lyrics or audio or video downloads. The plugin is free and does not require a Strum account. There is no per-user request quota; processing remains subject to service availability and the technical capabilities of our providers.
3. Your content and permitted use
Submit only video links and material you own or are authorised to have accessed, processed, and used in this way. You must comply with applicable law and the source platform’s terms, including YouTube’s terms. A publicly accessible link does not by itself grant permission to copy or analyse the underlying content.
You authorise us and our service providers to process submitted material as needed to recognise chords and provide the requested chart. Generated chord results and public video metadata may be cached and reused in the shared library. Do not submit confidential or private content. You retain any rights you already hold in your material; these terms do not transfer ownership of recordings, songs, or third-party intellectual property.
Do not use the service to infringe rights, bypass access restrictions, obtain private content, interfere with the service, introduce malicious material, or misuse another person’s data. Ordinary use has no per-user quota, but we may address abusive or unlawful activity and protect service reliability.
4. Results and third-party services
Chord recognition is an estimate. Charts may contain errors, omit changes, or differ from another recording or arrangement. Confirm important musical details by ear. Diagrams show possible fingerings in standard guitar tuning and are not the only way to play a chord.
ChatGPT, YouTube, hosting, extraction, and recognition providers are separate services with their own terms. Strum is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube. OpenAI’s terms govern your use of ChatGPT. External availability, technical restrictions, and provider failures can affect a request; we do not guarantee every video can be processed or a particular processing time.
5. Privacy and support
Our privacy policy explains what the plugin processes and retains. For assistance, content corrections, or rights concerns, contact support@strumguitarapp.com. A rights complaint should identify the material and URL, explain the rights involved and your authority, and provide a way to contact you. We may remove or restrict content while investigating.
6. Availability and changes
You may stop using Strum at any time. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, or restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, rights protection, or service operation. We will give notice of material changes where required. Any future paid offering would require separate notice and agreement; using this free plugin does not authorise a charge.
7. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, W185 Holdings LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, guarantees, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other matters protected by mandatory law.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Delaware law, without its conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory protections and rights to bring claims in your local courts remain available where required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
